About Me

I’m an Emmy-winning Puerto Rican broadcast journalist, currently working at WAPA-TV in Guaynabo, P.R.

I primarily focus on breaking news, the environment, and politics. I’m also an associate producer for multiple PRX podcasts including Smithsonian Magazine’s “There’s More to That” and New York Botanical Garden’s “Plant People.”

I was a weekend anchor at WPRI-12 in Providence, R.I. where I launched their first Spanish-language program. I also have bylines in The Washington Post, Refinery29, Ms. Magazine, The Post-Standard, and LehighValleyLive.com.

In 2024, I was named a Fulbright award winner. I have a master’s degree from Syracuse University, for which I received a full-ride scholarship after being selected one of two 2020 Newhouse Newspaper Fellows.
